55-Plus Fifty-five Plus is an organization of men and women of the parish of age 55 and over. They offer a program that provides a holistic approach to enhance the spiritual, emotional, physical and social well-being of all who participate. They also assist in parish outreach when possible and they nurture the faith of the gathered community. Meetings are every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the St. John Bosco Center. On the third Tuesday of the month, they join together for Pot Luck lunch. Baptisms Parents must be registered members of Espiritu Santo and are required to attend a baptism prep class. After the nessesary forms are completed and submitted they can then set a date for the baptism. Baptisms are celebrated on the second, third, and fourth Sundays of each month at 1:30 p.m. It is requested that you register six weeks in advance for the class. Faith and Action for Strength Together (FAST) A congregation based organization bringing together other faith based communities in Pinellas County. Our purpose is to address peace and justice in our country for all people in need. We endeavor to engage people of various faiths in a process of action to powerfully address issues in Pinellas County. We encourage parishioners to attend three (3) countywide meetings a year to support our efforts. Marian Prayer Group, Cenacle of Our Lady The Cenacle is an invitation to prayer. The faithful gather together to consecrate themselves to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and fidelity to the Pope and the Church. Meetings are Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. for the Rosary and prayer in the church conference room. On Mondays after the 7:00 p.m. Mass, the Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy are prayed. Marriage Prep Couples who wish to prepare for marriage must be parishioners or family members of a registered family. They are required to go through a process of pre-marriage investigation (PMI) focus. They are also required to attend a Pre Cana class, Engaged Encounter or Evenings for the Engaged at the discretion of the facilitator. Marriages are held on Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. We suggest a minimum of six months prior for preparation. | Parish Vocations Committee The goal of the Parish Vocations Committe is to promote Church Vocations. They do this by raising awareness of the dignity and need for Church Vocations through programs and information they make available. Diocese of St. Petersburg, Office of Vocations Prayer Community This group invites all to come praise and worship the Lord. They meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. starting with the Rosary. Mass is said the third Tuesday of the month at 7:45 p.m. Project Rachel Project Rachel reaches out to those men and women who are grieving over an abortion in their past. Compassionate individuals listen and help those persons to sort through feelings to move forward. For more information, call 1-800-260-2294. Sessions are 8 or 10 weeks long and are held locally. Respect Life The goal of the Respect Life Committee is to promote respect for life through education, political action and prayer. The committee receives its direction form the National Conference of Catholic Bishops. They offer assistance to those in need through a network of organizations dedicated to Respect Life. Respect Life meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month in the St. John Bosco Center, Room 3 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. St. Vincent de Paul Members, who are known as Vincentians, are united in an International Society of Charity offering person-to-person service to the poor and needy regardless of race, color or creed. Due to parishioners' generous donations of non-perishable food and money, they provide assistance to the poor. St. Vincent de Paul hours are 8:30-10:00 a.m. in St. John Bosco Center on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Membership is open to Catholics of all age who have a desire to help the poor and needy.
