The Respect Life Committee works to promote respect for all life through education, political action, and prayer. The committee receives its direction from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. They offer assistance to those in need through a network of organizations dedicated to Respect Life. Their annual spiritual adoption program serves to encourage prayer for the respect of all life and education. They sponsor an annual poinsettia sale, which supports The Kimberly Home. For more information, call Karen Heaphy at the church office 727.726.8477 x310.
Outreach Mission Ministry fosters prayer support, fundraising and cultural exchange between Espiritu Santo Parish and our Central American Missions. We are currently helping to support missions through our weekend “Fiesta Latina” and our annual visit to the Farm Of The Child in Trujillo, Honduras. We meet for an hour each month. Those going on the mission trips are gone for seven days. Contact Tim Dailey.

Dependent on our parishioners’ generous donation of money and non-perishable food, Vincentians are able to provide the poor of our area with pantry items as well as financial aid for rent, utilities and other necessities. The parish St. Vincent de Paul hours are 9:00 am to 10:00 am, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in the St. John Bosco Center. Food donations are always needed and can be left in the box in the narthex of the church or in the St. John Bosco Center. This is an International Society of Charity offering person-to-person service to the poor and needy, regardless of race, color or creed.
Pinellas Hope is a temporary emergency shelter for over 250 homeless men and women, located in Clearwater on 20 acres provided by Bishop Robert N. Lynch and the Diocese of St. Petersburg. It opened its doors on December 1, 2007. Background checks are done on all the residents and case managers meet with them on a regular basis to set goals towards self-sufficiency. They also assist the residents with job and housing placement and perform follow up visits with them six months after they leave the shelter.
